STAG Attend 2010 Sea King Symposium

STAG Group representatives will be attending the 2010 Sea King Symposium (28th – 29th September 2010, Portsmouth, UK).

Hosted by Vector Aerospace, the 13th Annual International Sea King Maintenance Symposium’s prestigious sponsors included Agusta Westland and Sikorsky Aerospace Services. The Symposium was attended by Thibaut de Bouillane, Sales Director of Specialist Technologies Ltd in order to emphasise how STAG understand the problems and challenges faced in consumable and mature systems procurements.

The two day Symposium marks the first year of the event taking place in the UK. It was chaired by Lieutenant-Colonel Ken MacKenzie, representing the Canadian Department of National Defence. Over 160 delegates representing 15 countries from around the world were able to take advantage of the informative, information-sharing and networking event.

The comprehensive agenda included a full programme of presentations and discussions, covering topics such as “The Sea King In Use”, “Upgrades and Sustainability” and “In Service Support”. Many high profile organisation’s contributed to the presentations: Thales UK, UK Royal Navy, Rolls Royce, Agusta Westland, to name just a few.

The Symposium provided STAG (an approved supplier to Agusta Westland) with an excellent opportunity to reinforce their capabilities and product support on SEAKING and the provision of a wide range of goods and services on this particular platform, including Bearing Distribution, Braking Systems, Flotation Systems, Gyro Compasses, Windshields, Windows, Flexible Fuel Tanks, Filtration Systems and Hardware & Consumables.
